Miami Floating Housing Competition
Vision
The difference, although in some societies it leads to problems, one of which is racism, the people of Miami have changed this, being a very cooperative society with each other. They have a culture of difference and unity at the same time. But because of the high population density, Miami faced some problems, the most important of which was housing. Miami Floating Houses are designed to solve these problems, 45 floating units on the water have many activities that meet the needs of the human being to live a decent, economical and affordable life. Starting from psychological needs, by watching the view of the water that relaxes the soul while practicing yoga, or his presence in public places that serve the social part. In it, to gather, talk, dance, food courts and kids areas for playing, to build a social life for this person who moved from Little Haiti and Little River to the floating houses so that he does not feel the difference between the environment in which he lived and the one who will live. Due to Miami's rainy climate, shed roofs were used to collect water and use it usefully, avoiding its gathering on the roofs of buildings. So as not to crack roofs and buildings. Miami has many cultures and therefore has a diverse background of cultures including African dance, wall painting, water sports as water is the basis of the life of the residents there such as flyboarding, wind surfing, jet ski and Parasailing. The goal is to design affordable homes for people
moving from the city to the middle of the ocean near Legion Island, which has been linked to the project to practice some activities and linked to the cities of Little Haiti and Little River. Designing a safe environment for living, facing the dangers of crimes, enjoying a healthy social life.
Activities, architectural drawings, and studies that are informed by the culture of Miami people, to help them feel safe in new homes that are modeled after their old homes.
